Bye bye Birdie

It was a distressing sight to behold.

A lone bird fluffed up and asleep, suddenly wakes up and looks around.

It hops around looking for its departed companion, chirping worriedly and fluttering around the cage looking for it.

You won't find him girl.

John's gone afly'in.

Reading the websites, it seems that birdies can die of heart ache and the sudden shock of a lack of companionship.

Not wanting another dead pet, I rushed to the pet shop to get the lone bird a new companion.

And now, there's a new birdie in the cage, one that hasn't grown up living near the sub woofer, or enjoy all the same shows that the rest of us in this house watch.

We'll see how he reacts to this week's action film...
