I'm sure everyone's heard the by now lame saying that if you love something you gotta learn to let it go.
This thought of course intermingles with a whole bunch of other ones.
Sad accusing eyes, "Lets be honest, you never did love me in anyway"
An almost broken man "If you loved me I would be enough for you"
A friend swigging a bottle of whiskey "Twas better to have love and lost no?"
And i am brought back to the imagery of the grain of sands in an open palm.
Say what you like to make yourself feel better, to numb the pain, to move on.
But nothing will change the fact that what was being learnt happened.
And that is why we both fly on now.
This, this is love.

"I don't compete with other guys for girls. I bring what I have. I give all that I've got and if that's not what you're looking for, then that's not what you're looking for. But I know I'm enough.'
Sometimes it's as simple as that. We all bring what we have and hope that who we are is more than enough. If the other person isn't impressed by that, than nothing will ever be enough. How many times have you seen someone try to become someone they aren't for someone they want to want them. And how many times has that been successful? As much as I admire someone who tries and tries to push for what they believe, it just doesn't work like that in relationships. You can't force it, you can't bargain with it, you can't fight it, you can't fight for it. There is a difference between compromise and sacrifice. Should relationships ever come down to sacrifices?"
